How to Play

To play, you'll need a MUD Client.

Armed with a client, you'll need to use that MUD client to point to the server mud.arctic.org, port 2700. Check your client's help for more information on connection configruration.

Connect / Login screen:

You will be prompted for a character name, your alignment (basically: good, neutral or evil), and other character information.

To level up your character, you will need to combat and learn from guildmasters who can teach you. Being sure to "look" at rooms and non-player characters (NPCs) will put you ahead of the newbie curve. Many NPCs offer more interaction - "listen woman," for example, may just be the beginning of a new puzzle or quest.

New players will appreciate a few basic maps and our newbie guide, as well as our starting out walkthrough.
