Irda

The Irda are the descendents of the ogres of old. Though not much is known about them in the world of Krynn, they are assumed to originate from the Dragon Isle Chain far to the north of Ansalon. Although they prefer the seclusion of their new home with their brethren, some Irda have been known to venture through other parts of Ansalon and involve themselves with the other races.

Irda are typically tall and slender, with skin that ranges in color from pale blue to a deep sea green, and hair that is most commonly black, though lighter colors such as blonde and silver are not unheard of. The Irda are an exceptionally beautiful race when compared to the humans and elven races of Krynn.

The Irda are typically of average strength and intelligence, though they do boast exceptional wisdom and above average constitution and dexterity, not to mention charisma, in which their uncommon beauty is an easy aid. Irda are also inherently magical which has left them immune to charming magic and blessed with the gift of infravision.

Due to their natural wisdom, many Irda go on to become exceptional clerics and druids, though their charisma can also benefit them as shamans. Their strength is typically average but the improved constitution and dexterity can be helpful for the Irda who choose to live as warriors, scouts or thieves.
